This was a warranty replacement for my slightly older MA-112 - which I loved. It was reliable and very effective. First let me say that the Medify warranty is tremendous. A first rate company with great customer service. But this MA-112 is a cheapened version. Just a couple of examples: there is no automatic setting (for fan control). And the biggest disappointment is that it does not display the air quality - which the older version did. Why did they delete that? I probably would not buy this model for the same price I paid for my prior one - which wasn't cheap. And the semiannual filter replacements aren't cheap and are required to maintain the warranty. There is a newer/different model that has these features and I offered to pay for an upgrade. But their warranty policy will not allow it. Again, I think they are a first class company with great customer service. But keep changing and cheapening the models (and using the same model number) is a quick way to lose customers to other manufacturers.

The MA-112 is a BEAST of a purifier, HUGE! Next month it will be my 3rd year anniversary since ordering the MA-112, and though it does a very good job of purifying the air, I consider having (3) being replaced under warranty for the same reason(LED speed fan light burns out; still functions), a manufacturing issue and not "It's pretty rare for this to happen, especially with the MA-112, but no sweat." as stated by a supervisor, name not intentionally mentioned, and disagree with his statement... On the second occasion, the Ozone LED burned out as well...
I simply want to know what the company plans on doing to remedy this and have asked the supervisor, only to go unanswered...? Maybe it is cheaper to keep sending me their $600 under warranty units, than to address the poor QC China made product("Made in China" on the box)...? After all, the first one did last 9mths after purchase, the second went 6mths before being replaced and the 3rd about the same going out in 2023, but replaced in March 2024...
For the price you pay, and for how often I experienced LED Speed Fan Failure, is not a coincidence, and await how long it takes before the 4th one goes out...
I have (3) MA-40, and those are rock solid with no issues, so why is it an issue with the MA-112...?

I just moved into a new, beautiful renovated apartment... but I was waking up sick! I was coughing, wheezing, and had the worst post-nasal drip of my life. Now, I DO have a dust allergy as well as a cigarette allergy. The old tenants smoked and I assumed it was in the vents. I figured I just needed something powerful and I bought the MA-112 after a lot of research. I figured it was "overkill" for my 800 ft apt but I wanted it to be effective.
The first day I had it on, I immediately could tell there was a huge difference in air quality. I woke up the next morning with no severe symptoms. I was very happy.
And let me tell you, my satisfaction with this machine was about to go way up because then we found out we had black mold in the AC closet and around the exits of the vents. No wonder I was feeling so horrible. For me, black mold has the potential to actually turn life-threatening due to me having an impaired immune system with a severe weakness to any potential fungal infections in my lungs.
You all have no idea how much peace of mind it gives me knowing that this machine can protect me from spores like that. There was a small period of time before my landlord treated the issue that I was relying on this purifier to keep my apartment's air clean and it did the job so well, I suffered from no symptoms despite the mold still being there.
The black mold has been eliminated and treated, but I sleep so much easier knowing if anything like this ever where to happen again or catch me unaware, my MA-112 is keeping me safe.
Oh, and the cigarette smoke smell has completely left my apartment after 5 days of use! When family comes over, they say it smells so fresh in here you would never know there had been any problems at all.
This company has my loyalty for years to come and I can't thank them enough for creating an air purifier that protects people like me from dangerous allergens. Take it from me: Just splurge and get the MA-112. Even if you have a small place, this thing power-houses your entire apartment FAST and some day when you move into a bigger home, you can bring it with you!

We bought our Medify MA-112 air purifier in 2020 due to the major fires in our area that were affecting the air we were breathing. The air was so bad we couldn’t go outside and it was seeping into our house. In an effort to clean up the air in my house, I researched many air purifiers and landed on this one. It seemed to be the best in its class. With little ones too I wanted to help Protect their l lungs from the smoke!
Needless to say.. it absolutely did the job and cleaned the air in our home. Within an hour of turning it on I noticed a huge difference!
In general, The air quality can get really bad where we live, even without fires so having something in my home that I know works helps my stress!
An added plus is it destroys viruses in the air too! When we have large gatherings in our home we always turn it on! No need for air freshener when you run this on a regular bases.
4 years later and I am still so happy I spent the money on it!
