I thought it would be helpful to show someone in the petite dress unaltered and without a bra or shapewear.

For reference, I am 5’3” with very underdeveloped shoulders, fat arms, and back acne. I wear a 32C bra.

This with my emerald necklace will be perfect.

It appears I need to figure out shapewear and have the shoulders altered - maybe the bust. Without shapewear, my figure still looks fine but a little fat and the lack of breast will still show through. The fat arms and back acne are hidden.

At 32, I may be a little young for all these insecurities. But my opinion is that a small bust, clear skin in the bust area, and a narrow waist will help you look perfect in this dress. The need to alter shoulders and bust will depend on you, but it should probably be done because the dress is quite large in this area. I think the dress is too unflattering for a larger bust and gut at a formal event. The scuba material is perfect and wrinkle free for traveling to a wedding, but the ruching on it only does so much to flatter. It does flatter ok, though. With shapewear, the figure should be perfect.

This is petite length. I am wearing my HOKA Bondi 8s and the dress is the proper length with them. Remember, I am 5’3”.

The dress is thick and warm. I will attend a winter wedding in this.

Sorry if this review is odd. I am odd, but I have an eye for beauty and have worked here twice just for fun (sort of).

I purchased this dress in the wine color for a formal wedding. Dress fits nicely and I got quite a few compliments. It has a little stretch so it doesn’t feel constraining. The material is pretty much wrinkle free. I ordered it online and picked up at the store. It had not one wrinkle coming out of the box. I also traveled with it on a plane and carried on in a trifold garment bag and again, not one wrinkle. I don’t recall the description saying that the dress was a little longer in the back, slight sweep train, but it was fine. A couple of things that I didn’t like was that I thought it was cut a little too low in the front and showed too much cleavage. I was a little uncomfortable. Also the straps added to help keep the dress on a hanger either kept showing so had to keep tucking them in or could be seen under the fabric due to the dress being form fitting. I will wear the dress again but I will have the neckline adjusted and will probably cut off the straps. Overall, I’m satisfied.

Absolutely stunning dress! I wore as guest to November wedding and was glad to have the longer sleeves and the thicker material. The ruffle and rouching is perfectly placed so very flattering! At 5' 2" 120 lbs I ordered a 4P. The high/low floor length gown was perfect for the front but dragged a little in the back so I did have it shortened just in the back to hit at bottom of my heel so it still had high/low look. I wore 4" heels. It was a little low in the cleavage area so I also had a stitch put in the front to close it a bit. I had no issue with bra straps showing as someone else mentioned they did. I ordered the midnight blue which is darker than navy and it was a beautiful color. I had lots of compliments and felt great in it. Highly recommend this dress, one of my favorites I've ever worn!

I bought this dress for the worst occasion ever... my mother's funeral. My mother's sister, niece and I all wore the same color and my mother wore a variation of this dress herself. However, I got compliments all day on the dress and when I saw it in pictures I was pleased at the fit and how flattering it was. I thought I was going to need shapewear with the dress but due to the occasion I really didnt care what I looked like. But it turned out that I didnt even need it. The fit was awesome and true to size. I am 5'2" 190 lbs. I have an hourglass shape and I usually wear a 12. I ordered a 12 and it was a perfect fit, even in the arms which can sometimes be a struggle for me. Get the dress. It's beautiful. And the dress my mother had on was gorgeous as well. Both amazing choices.
